A cement ball mill is a multi-chamber grinder, also known as a tube grinder. When the aspect ratio is above 4, it is called a long mill or tube mill. Medium and long mills are generally divided into 2-4 compartments internally and are commonly used in cement plants.
A tube mill is an important piece of fine grinding equipment in modern industry and is one of the most common and important devices in grinding systems. Large tube mills have high production capacity. The tube mill has the characteristics of high crushing ratio, high production capacity, strong adaptability to materials, and easy replacement of worn parts. The main components of a tube mill include: cylinder, feeding section, unloading section, transmission section, etc.
The grinding media (balls or cylpebs) are a kind of carrier used in a ball mill to help crush & grinding minerals. For a cement ball mill, the first chamber will used large size balls or cylpebs, and the second chamber will use small-size cylpebs. The cylpebs is cylinder shape, this shapes grinding efficiency is better than small size balls. And the super high chromium (Cr: 16-28%) cast grinding balls and cylpebs have high hardness (HRC 58-67) and less grinding media consumption; it is the best choice for cement and other high hardness minerals such as Lead-Zinc ore and Quartz sand.

Product Advantage

Lower consumption cost
Because high-chromium grinding media have higher hardness than forged steel cylpebs and can be made with different chromium contents (10-28%), their consumption will be only 25%-65% of forged steel & lower-chrome casting cylpebs used in Ball mills. For some special minerals that have the highest hardness, such as Quartz sand, choose Top chromium (Cr: 23-28%) cast grinding media; the media consumption cost will be much less than other kinds of grinding media.

Higher hardness
High Chrome cast grinding media casting cylinders processed with special heat treatment (Oil quench & annealing) will have the highest hardness ( HRC 64- 67). Small-size Φ6*6 - Φ30*35 mm casting cylinder hardness can be HRC 66, and Φ30*35 - Φ55*60 mm cast cylinders hardness can be made to HRC64; it’s the highest hardness among other kinds of material grinding media. And this cast high chrome cylinders surface & core hardness difference is less than HRC 2.

Customized alloy Steel composition
NGZR foundry can match customer’s required to readjust the Chemical Composition of Chromium content (1.0-30%) and other usdful alloying element such as C /Mn/ Si/ Cu/ Ni/ Mo etc, with special heat-treatment processing, which can make this casting grinding cylinders get different thechnical paramenters, such as hardness / Impact Value / Breakage and de-shaping rate / micro- structure / high PH degree of acid or alkali resistant/high temperature resistance etc, to match customer’s special requirements.

Customized grinding media shape
NGZR can develop and make different shapes of grinding media, such as: Grinding ball (Sphere) / Grinding cylpebs ( Cylinder) / Grinding egg ( Ellipsoid) / Polyhedron Shape and other special customized shapes. Different shape grinding media will have better grinding effect with different grinding conditions.

Lower breakage & out-of-roundness rate
Depending on controlling raw material quality / advanced casting production equipment & special heat-treatment processing, the high chrome grinding cylinders product of NGZR has good Physical Property, large size cast grinding media breakage & Out-of-roundness rate will be less than 1%; small-size casting ball breakage & Out-of-roundness rate will be less than 0.5%.

The company is equipped with 2 fully automatic iron mold sand coating production lines, 4 mechanical arm shell molding machines, 1 fully automatic lost foam mold production line, 1 fully automatic heat treatment quenching + reheat treatment production line, 2 automatic flipping annealing furnaces, 3 sets of VIP-1800 series melting furnaces, cabinet-type PRO spectrometer, carbon-sulfur analyzer, hardness tester, far-infrared temperature measuring instrument, etc. The production and testing equipment is complete and comprehensive. Temperature-controlled melting, constant-temperature pouring, automatic temperature-controlled quenching, and annealing have been achieved, and many technologies are at the forefront of the industry.

The product specifications are complete, meeting the needs of customers for different materials of cast balls, cast sections, ball mill liners, crusher guards, hammers, etc., ranging from Ф8mm to Ф150mm. The company now has an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons of cast balls and castings.
